Grip Day 2

 

General rules

First time participants should remember to bring a Snell rated SA95 or 2000 helmet.  Loaner helmets will be available!

NO Passengers will be permitted!!!

General track rules

1.  All drivers must attend the drivers meeting in the morning.

2.  All drivers must use a Snell approved SA 2000 or above helmet.  No exceptions

3.  Any driver that drifts the course will receive a black flag.  If any driver continues to drift, they will be asked to leave for the rest of the day.

4.  ALL vehicles must pass tech in order to drive on the course.

 

4AG Time Trial Format

*All drivers must be intermediate/Advanced only
* All cars must run a Toyota 1.6 engine of any variation.
Class 1-Street Tire class
Tires   DOT tire with a tread rating of 120 or higher
Engine   Forced induction is not permitted in this class
Class 2-Race Tire class
Tires   DOT tire with a tread rating of 120 or lower
Engine   Open to all 4ag variations

 

S13/S14 Time Trial Format

*All drivers must be intermediate/Advanced only
Class 1-Street class (N/A KA motors only)
Tires   DOT tire with a tread rating of 120 or higher
Engine   Forced induction is not permitted in this class.  All cars must use factory KA motors.

Class 2-Forced induction class
Tires   DOT tire with a tread rating of 120 or lower
Engine   Open

Schedule:

7 a.m. Gates open, all drivers should arrive and have their vehicles ready for tech. 
8:30 a.m. Brief drivers meeting -- MANDATORY! 
Tech inspection lines close.
9:00 a.m. First driving session begins, groups rotating every 20 minutes.
3:00 p.m. Time Trials Begins
5:00 p.m. Event ends


 

 

4WD Time Trial Format

*All drivers must be intermediate/Advanced only
*Fastest 4WD car wins.  This group is limited to advance drivers only.  All drivers must be approved before entering this run group.

1.6-1.8 Time Trial Format

*All drivers must be intermediate/Advanced only
Class 1-Street class
Tires   DOT tire with a tread rating of 120 or higher
Engine   All cars must be factory equipped 1.6-1.8 4 cylinder engines.  Forced inductions in not permitted.

GREEN The course is Hot.  Your session begins

YELLOW

There is an incident in front of you.  proceed with Caution
RED This flag means a major incident has happened, that will require an emergency vehicle on the track. Stop your car in a safe way, within view of a flag station, as soon as possible. Stay on the track, but pull off-line so emergency vehicles can get by.
BLUE & YELLOW There is a passing vehicle.  Check your mirrors and allow the driver to pass.
BLACK Pull into the pits for inspection of the vehicle or to discuss drivers behavior of the course
CHECKER Session is over.  Proceed with a cool down lap and return to your pit area
